"We are a group of women with a shared vision: to support women and children in imagining and collectively building economies that prioritize life and mutual care.

Our initiative involves providing school supplies, sneakers, jackets, underwear, personal hygiene items, hand sanitizers, and reusable menstrual towels on a yearly basis. Additionally, we conduct workshops, games, and discussion circles throughout the school year. These spaces are focused on promoting learning about children's rights, gender equity, and menstrual education, fostering the exercise and defense of their rights, as well as promoting gender equality and menstrual care.

Why is this important?

Prior to the pandemic, 1,386,046 girls and boys between the ages of 5 and 14 in Mexico were not attending school (INEGI).
Indigenous children in Mexico are the most vulnerable population in terms of their right to education. They are at higher risk of not attending school, not completing compulsory basic education, or not achieving expected learning levels (INEE/UNICEF).
Between May and December 2021, amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the percentage of girls and adolescents between the ages of 10 and 15 who dropped out of school due to pregnancy increased from 2% to 6.4%, and those who left school to work increased from 10.2% to 14.9% (INEGI).
More than 4 million children and adolescents do not attend school, and an additional 600,000 are at risk of dropping out due to factors such as lack of resources, distance from schools, and violence in their communities (INPI).
Mexico is the number 1 country with COVID orphans (EL Economista).
Suicide has become the third leading cause of death among children aged 10 to 14 due to confinement.
41.8% of households with children reported a drop in family income of up to 30% (UNICEF).
Your generous contribution can make a significant difference in the lives of these vulnerable children and help create a brighter future for them. Together, we can provide them with the necessary tools, support, and education they need to thrive despite the challenges they face.

We sincerely appreciate any assistance you can provide to help us continue our mission of empowering children and women, and building a community that values life and mutual care. Your donation will directly impact the lives of those in need and contribute to a more equitable and inclusive society.

Thank you for considering supporting our cause. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of these children and create a more compassionate world for everyone.
