Thank you for taking the time to read this. My name is Perla I am 22 Years old. I've been fighting cancer since I was 12 years old and trust me, it hasn't been easy. After the diagnosis I had a thyroidectomy, one month after I had the second surgery... then would come chemotherapy and multiple treatments. I spent some time in remission until it reappeared , now in my lungs (metastasis).

Fortunately my parents were always there for me. With their love they made magic so I always had my pills. As I grew, I realized the weariness and concern of the ones I love the most, my parents. I went from the Civil Hospital Juan I Menchaca to the Jalisco Cancerology Institute once I turned into an "adult" at the age of 16.

Since the pandemic began at the beginning of this year, it has become harder and harder to get the money I need to buy my medicine, which costs around $70,000 mexican pesos the treatment for a month. I have never recieved this treatment from health institutions since I don't have medical insurance.

One day, by chance of faith, we met the Mexican Foundation of Paliative Medicine non-profit organization, who had a box of Nexavar (Sorafenib), the medicine I need, and they gave it to us. That's how the relationship with their team began. They come directly to my house to provide their help. With them, we decided to give it a chance and ask you for help, that's why we are here.

I have faced everything along the way, and even though the outlook seems bleak, I am full of energy to keep on fighting this disease which has brought out the best in me.

With this money you relieve the tiring and stress of my life and the life of my family. I'm exhausted from the race, but I will keep on running. With your help I will be able to buy my medicine to take a break and recover my full strength.
