At CRUZ ROSA we have a support program for women who have gone through a breast extraction process, whether unilateral or bilateral. The program consists of the donation of external breast prostheses.
This project generates physical and emotional benefits for the patients who receive their prosthesis, since when they lose their breasts, many of them manifest problems such as depression, anxiety and alterations in body perception.
In addition to the psycho-emotional problems they may experience, women who lose one or both of their breasts must use this type of prosthesis since losing a limb causes an imbalance in body posture, which can cause problems for our back. Therefore, it is important to compensate with the use of a breast prosthesis.
The daily use of an appropriate external breast prosthesis is important and necessary, since it helps avoid muscle pain in the neck and back caused by the imbalance caused by the lack of one of the breasts; In addition, the shoulders are kept upright and posture is significantly improved.


The estimated cost of a silicone breast prosthesis ranges from $3,500 to $6,000 depending on quality, size, and durability.
At CRUZ ROSA we offer a program for women who do not have the means to cover this expense, managing prostheses at low cost and donating them to women who cannot afford it.
