Festival de Cine Oro Negro

Film Festival held since 2016, with headquarters in Coatzacoalcos, Nanchital and Minatitlán, cities south of Veracruz.

Who we are

Communiologists, Designers, Photographers, Teachers, Sellers, Municipal Employees, Engineers, Students, Graduates, people who are passionate about cinema and who want to create a platform for exchanging ideas between young filmmakers and experienced members of the film industry.

The Festival is an event that functions as a source of energy to promote the exhibition, learning and development of the film industry in the southern region of Veracruz.

We were Winners of the Stimulus to Support the Film Exhibition in Veracruz (2023) and the Scholarship to Support the Creation and Artistic Development of Veracruz (2016), both awarded by the Veracruz Institute of Culture. We are members of the Ibero-American Network of Film Festivals, the Mexican Network of Film Festivals, the Union of International Film Festivals and the Veracruz Film and Audiovisual Network.

On this occasion we focus the Festival on #FemaleGlances, highlighting the role of women in cinema, the challenges that still exist, as well as recognizing the work of all those who make the stories told by women more visible.
